Jacob is at Jin and Sun's wedding, gives them his blessing

We get to see Jin and Sun's wedding in a flashback. They exchange rings and say their vows. Jin mentions how they will never be apart, juxtaposing the actual events where he is in 1977 and she is in 2007. Also, Sun gives him his ring we she now has no the island and she gets her wedding ring which she lost and later found in the season 2 episode "...And Found."

It's worth noting that the actors who play Mr. and Mrs. Paik are not in the episode but I believe the man and woman sitting next to Aunt Soo in the eighth photo is supposed to be them.

Later, people are lined up to give their best wishes to Jin and Sun. Aunt Soo asks them when they are going to start a family and Sun says "Maybe on our honeymoon."

Next in line is the mysterious Jacob. Speaking fluent Korean, he says to them "I'd like to offer you my blessing. Your love is a very special thing. Never take it for granted." As he is speaking, he touches both of them on their arms. He then bows and walks away. Sun asks Jin who the man was and Jin says "I don't know, but his Korean is excellent."

Again we see Jacob making a point to touch both Jin and Sun. It's still seems to be very significant, but why has he touched all of our survivors thus far? What does it mean for their lives?

Locke tells Sun that he'll help find their friends, Ricahard's compass

At the others beach camp, Sun is once again looking at Jin's wedding ring, thinking about what Richard told her about all of the Dharma folk or her friends, it's unclear, being dead. Locke comes over to her and she asks him does he think it's true that all of their friends are dead. Locke says "I don't think we went through all this for nothing Sun. Richard Alpert comes over and Locke asks him if he still has the compass that he gave him. Richard pulls it out of his pocket and says "Little rusty but she can still find north."

Locke calls over to Ben who is sitting on the beach near-by and asks him to join he and Richard on their errand. Ben asks if Locke is afraid to leave him there with his former people and also asks if he thinks he'll stage a coup. Locke says "I'm not afraid of anything you can do anymore, Ben." Ben says that in that case, he's love to come. Locke tells Sun to stay there and he'll be back in a few hours. He continues saying "But whatever happens, Sun, you have my word--if there's a way for you and Jin to be together again, if there's a way to save our people... I'll find it."

Whatever Locke's source of confidence is, it seems to have made him cocky. Again we are left asking, who is giving him his directions right now?

Frank lies about the island, Ben and Sun sneak off, meet Bram

Sun is standing on the beach, looking at Jin's wedding ring. We can see the Ajira plane sitting not too far from the beach. Ilana comes over and asks if Sun lost someone on the flight, which she did not. Frank calls everyone to attention to tell them his plan that they should stay on the beach and wait for rescue. During the speech, we see a new character named Bram (6th photo) who doesn't speak in this episode, but is played by a recognizable actors, so will become active at some point. Caesar pipes in asking Frank "Where is here?" Frank tells him that he doesn't know and that the island is not on his charts. Caesar goes on to mention the buildings on the island, the animal cages and the bigger island and says that Frank needs some new charts. Caesar tells everyone that they should search the buildings for a radio or food.

At this point Ben, who is by the treeline, slips off into the jungle and Sun follows him. Frank sees Sun leave and follows her. Sun loses Ben briefly until he shows up behind her and asks "Why are you following me?" Sun asks him where he is going and he replies "Back to our island. You wanna come?"

So Caesar and Ilana are starting to become Nikki and Paulo a little bit. They are not quite as annoying, but they have been around for a few weeks now and haven't served much of a purpose, though it is possible that they shot at the canoes in "The Little Prince" (see screens here). And now we have Bram who hasn't even spoken yet. Hopefully, they'll serve a purpose soon.

Ben stages the room as a suicide

Back in Locke's room at the Westerfield Hotel, Ben has somehow hung Locke from the pipes in the ceiling, just how Locke was originally planning to kill himself. Ben cleans and wipes down the room including the wheelchair and cord among other things. As Ben's about to leave, he picks up Jin's wedding ring from the side table where Locke's Canadian passport is sitting. As he's standing in the doorway looking up a Locke, Ben says in fraile voice "I'll miss you John, I really will." After he leaves is when we get our first complete look at Locke's body hanging from the ceiling which is a sad and grim sight.

The remorse in Ben's voice as he leaves is intriguing and his words leave us to believe he didn't know that Locke would be resurrected when he returned to the island.

Jack and Sun meet Eloise Hawking, Desmond meets her again

When Ben, Jack and Sun arrive at the church where Eloise Hawking is, Ben gives Sun Jin's wedding ring. She tells him that Locke gave it to her when he was alive. Ben clarifies to Jack that Locke didn't come to him but he went to Locke. Sun agrees to go back to the island with Jack and Ben. That's when Desmond walks up and asks if they're here to see Daniel's mother too? Ben seems surprised that Eloise is Daniel's mother. Either that or he is surprised that Desmond knows this. They all proceed into the church and Desmond seems to immediately recognize Ms. Hawking. In case you forgot, Desmond encountered her in his time shifting after the Swan Station imploded in "The Constant" in season 3. Eloise says to Ben "I though I said all of them" but he replies "this is all I could get on short notice." She say "Well, I suppose it will have to do for now." The episode ends after she says "Alright, let's get started."

It seems that Locke did not approach Sun like he did the others who are off of the island. It would seem that he and Ben may have worked something out in advance to convince Sun to join the cause. Does Ben not know that Eloise Hawking is Daniel's mother? Why is Eloise Hawking not seem all that concerned that all of the six are not currently there? She seemed pretty adamant that all of them be there when she and Ben spoke earlier.
