Slight spoiler: New Dharma logo

Here's a minor spoiler, so stop reading now if you don't want to know what this post is about, though the title really gives it away.

For those still left, we have a new Dharma logo. This logo was revealed at the end of a new video released by Damon and Carlton about the Lost Book Club via the Dharma Special Access site. The logo flashes really fast at the end of the video.

I've made the logo really small below so those who don't wish to see it can remain spoiler free. Just click it to see a larger version.

What exactly is this station for? Only another month and a half or so until we start getting some answers and undoubtedly, some new questions.

The Fray music video with new season 5 footage

Check out the brand new music video for The Fray's new song "You Found Me." I'm not a fan of the band per se, but the song really works with the boatload of new Lost season five footage in the video. If you don't like mild spoilers, stay away from the video. Nothing is blatantly given away, but it does contain some clues as to the direction of the new season.

Lost Season 4 DVD date

I posted about a month ago that the fourth season of Lost would be released early due to promos running at Comic-Con. Since then, there has been no confirmation anywhere else of this new date, so I guess we should assume that the DVD set will be released on the original December 9 date unless we hear otherwise.

Sorry for the confusion, though I may end up retracting this one if a new date is announced.

You can still pre-order the standard DVD and Blue-ray versions below from Amazon and they'll ship as soon as it's released, whenever that may be.

Video of Marvin Candle/Pierre Chang from Comic Con

Here's the video of Marvin Candle, whose name is Pierre Chang, filmed by rogue Dharma recruit, Dan Bronson. There's some interesting bits in the video about time, the Dharma Initiative and listen to the voice of the person filming. It sounds like someone we know.

Hacked Dharma video from the Comic-Con booth

Here's the hacked Dharma video from the Dharma Initiative booth at Comic-Con. This was accessible to those who plugged a bluetooth device into a port at the booth. I wasn't there so I don't know exactly how it worked but here's the video.

Lost season 4 DVD/Blue-ray coming out earlier than expected

According to videos being posted on Doc Arzt's site, videos promoting the Season 4 DVD release at Comic Con say both the DVD and Blue-Ray sets will be released on October 28. This will definitely help bridge the gap between seasons 4 and 5 along with the ARG that is currently launching at Comic Con. Check out Doc Arzt's site again for the best coverage of the happenings in San Diego.

Pre-order the DVD and Blue-Ray below and in the right column "We Recommend" widget to help my poor little site out a little bit.

Alternate ending screens

Here's a screen from each of the alternate endings that were shot to keep spoilers at bay. We see both Sawyer and Desmond in the coffin instead of Locke.

Friday, June 20, 2008

Jack visits Locke (aka Jeremy Bentham) at Hoffs Drawler, Ben follows

Jack returns to Hoffs Drawler funeral parlor and breaks in to see Jeremy Bentham's body. He finds the body release form on the coffin which is not filled out, presumably because there is no one with any legal standing to claim the body. Then who should appear but Mr. Ben Linus.

During Ben's inquiry, we find out that Jack spoke to Locke about a month ago and Locke told him that Ben was off of the island. Locke also spoke to Kate at some point. Locke told Jack that after he (Jack) left the island, "some very bad things happened" and "that it was my (Jack's) fault. Locke also told Jack that he had to come back.

Ben tells Jack that "the island won't let you come alone. All of you have to come back." Jack says that he doesn't know where Sayid is, that Hurley is insane, that Sun blames him for something (most likely Jin being left behind) and that Kate won't talk to him anymore. Ben says that he can help with that and "this is the way it has to be" and "it's the only way." When Jack asks "How?," all Ben says is "I have a few ideas." Jack nods in agreement and begins to walk towards the door when Ben stops him and says "We're going to have to bring him too," referring to Locke in the coffin. This is the point in which Locke is revealed to be in the coffin.

Now we wait until season 5, or at least until the new hiatus game launches.

The Oceanic 6 fake rescue in Sumba

The Oceanic 6 fake their rescue on the isle of Sumba to back up their cover story. They wash up in Sumba and are helped by the some locals, just as we saw in the photo during the press conference. They've gone to great lengths to support their cover story including wearing dirty, worn out clothing and using paddles made out of salvaged materials.

Penny, Desmond, Frank and the rest of Penny's crew helped with their fake story, so you can bet this will come into play in season 5.

Penny and Desmond reunited

As the Oceanic 6, Desmond and Frank float along in the raft, they spot a boat in the distance (very similar to when the raft is spotted by Tom and the others in the season 1 finale. The boat spots them and the eight find rescue. The boat is named "Searcher" and the first person we see on it is Henrik, one of the two guys in the Arctic station at the end of season 2. Henrik calls for Miss Widmore. Penny appears and Desmond climbs aboard the boat. In a classic style, the two run towards each other, share an stunned/overjoyed look and then kiss.

Desmond and Penny's reunion was a long awaited event on Lost, and the scene did not disappoint.

Claire visits Kate with a warning in a dream

In the future, Kate wakes up in the middle of the night and looks down the hall outside her bedroom just as the phone rings. A backwards voice says "The island needs you. You have to go back before it's too late." She then hears a door open and runs to grab a gun out of the armoire. She rushes down to Aaron's room to find Claire by Aaron's bed. Kate is obviously freaked out as Claire tells her "Don't bring him back Kate. Don't you dare bring him back!." Kate then springs up in her bed with sweat dripping down her face. The phone call and Claire's appearance was a dream. Kate rushes down the hall to find Aaron asleep in his room alone. She hold's Aaron's hand while he's sleeping and tells him "I'm sorry" twice while crying.

Does Claire's appearance in the dream mean that she's dead or does she does she now have a closer communion with the island or something totally different? Does she not want Kate to take Aaron back because of the bad things that have happened or for some other reason? Questions, questions, questions.

On the door of Aaron's room, there's a painting of the white rabbit from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. This is one of many references to the book in Lost. I also grabbed what appears to be a picture of a child on a bike, presumably Aaron, that was on top of a chest of drawers (the photo is hard to make out).
