Claire kills Justin with the axe, Jin tells her Kate has Aaron

Back with crazy Claire, she is holding the axe and threatening Justin and asking where Aaron is. Justin repeatedly tells her that he doesn't know and that they don't have her. She's obviously been convinced by Christian and Locke that they have Aaron.

So she starts to swing the axe at Justin when Jin tells her to stop. Claire says that the other stuck her with needles and branded her, just like they did to Sayid. She shows Jin the scar from the brand. As Claire prepares to swing again, Jin tells her that Kate took Aaron off of the island. Justin tells her that Jin is telling the truth and pleads for her to let him go. Claire pauses for a moment and then swiftly buries the axe in Justin's chest. Jin is stunned.

So why did Claire kill Justin even though Jin told her the others didn't have Aaron? Did she think Jin was lying or was she going to kill Justin no matter what happened?

Claire patches up Jin, wide view of her shack

Back at Claire's shack, she is sterilizing some medical tools in water over a fire. It's possible she took them from medical station or got them elsewhere. She also sharpens her axe while she's outside.

Justin tries again to convince Jin to let him go, but Jin doesn't As Claire starts to sew up Jin's trap wound,  she says that she once had to patch up her own wound when the others shot her in the leg. She says she had to move around a lot to avoid the others.

She then says that Christian and then her "friend" (the smoke monster/Locke) told her that the others have her baby. So it seems that Smokey is manipulating her to get what he wants, because he/it certainly knows that Aaron is not on the island.

Once she finishing sewing up Jin's wound, she picks up the axe and turns to Justin and says "Now it's your turn." We'll pick up the rest of this scene later.

Claire keeping a "squirrel baby" in cradle, explosives + Justin's alive

Jin wakes up to find himself in Claire's makeshift shack, his leg still very bloody and painful from the trap. He looks around and sees some random Dharma food, clothing and a crate of explosives from the Black Rock. He then notices a makeshift cradle and looks inside to find a hideous thing made of random animal furs, a skull and other bits. It's been dubbed "squirrel baby."

Claire comes back dragging Justin with her, who was only pretending to be dead earlier. After tying up Justin and she turns her attention to Jin saying "We'd better get that cleaned up. If there's one thing that'll kill you around here it's infection." A clever little line hinting at the infection Rousseau talked about, but referring to a literal infection.

Jin asks her if she's been by herself all this time, and she coyly says "I'm not by myself." When she steps outside, Justin tells Jin that Claire is going to kill them both.

So Claire has clearly gone off the deep end which is especially punctuated by the squirrel baby.

Claire helps Jin out of trap, doesn't know it's been 3 years

Out in the jungle, Claire checks to Justin's body and he appears to be dead. She goes to help Jin out of the trap. Jin asks if she's been out in the jungle all of this time and she says that she has since the other survivors left. Jin says that it has been three years and she seems unaware of how long it's been, much like Rousseau and her 16 years. Claire offers to take Jin somewhere safe, but he is unable to walk.

So, did Claire travel back and forth in time with the other survivors after Ben turned the frozen donkey wheel, or did she stay in the present? It would seem that if she was back in the 1970s, she would have been less likely to have been alone for all of those years.

Claire returns on island to save Jin from Aldo & Justin

Back in the jungle, Jin stops for water and gets ambushed by Aldo and Justin, who aren't too happy about Kate's escape. Aldo, who quickly became as obnoxious as Pickett, suggests that they should kill him, but Justin objects saying "he's one of them," possibly referring to a candidate.

Jin tries to make an escape, but gets caught in a bear trap. As Aldo catches up to him and aims his gun, Claire shows up shooting Aldo twice and then Justin once. Jin looks up and notices it is claire. She looks back at him and looks bewildered.

So where has Claire been all of this time? Why has she taken to setting traps like Danielle Rousseau? Is she really claimed like Dogen says she is? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Kate takes out Aldo & Justin + Justin is a talker

Out in the jungle, as Kate, Jin, Aldo and Justin are trekking across the island, Aldo says that the others are protecting the survivors from the smoke monster. When Jin asks about the Ajira flight, Aldo refuses to answer, while Justin starts to tell him about the flight before Aldo tells him to shut up.

As they keep moving, Justin stop's Kate from tripping a trip wire. Jin says that it looks like Danielle Rousseau's, but Justin starts to say that it can't be her's because she died years ago.

Aldo is being obnoxious because Kate doesn't seem to remember that she knocked him out at the Room 23 building in season 3. Kate knocks him out, and trips the wire causing the rocks to knock out Justin. She then takes some guns and makes a break for it, telling Jin she's escaping.

We can presume, as we see later in the episode, that Claire set this trap. We'll ask more questions about her later though.
