Hurley receives a stern warning from Michael at Libby's grave

Hurley visits Libby's grave, exchanging the dead flower for a new one. He talks to her out loud, telling her that a lot people come to talk to him after he died, but she never has and he wishes she would.

Ilana approaches him to say that they are leaving to go to the Black Rock to get dynamite to blow up the Ajira plane. He questions the plan, and Ilana is unsure too, but says it's their only option. She then asks about the grave and Hurley tells her about their date that never was.

Moments after Ilana leaves, Hurley hears the whispers and suddenly Michael appears. Clearly, this the last person Hurley would want to see, especially at Libby's grave. Michael says he's there to stop Hurley from getting everyone killed since people are listening to him now. Hurley asks him why he should trust him, considering that he murdered Ana Lucia and Libby. Michael says that if they move forward with their plan to blow up the plane, people are going to die.

Jack appears which causes Michael to disappear.

Locke sets Ben free, wants him to go to Hydra

As Ben gets his own grave dug chest deep, he hears the sounds of the smoke monster approaching. Locke appears behind him, out of Ilana's line of sight.

Ben tells Locke what he's doing and that Locke will get what he wants when Ilana kills him. Locke says that he doesn't want Ben dead and that he went back to the four-toed statue to get him. Locke tells Ben that he is gathering a group of people to leave the island for good, but he wants Ben to be in charge of the island when he leaves (a very different story than when he told Sawyer that no one needed to protect the island).

Locke casually waves his hand which releases the restraint around Ben's ankle. He tells Ben to come to the Hydra island which is where he and his group will be. He says that there's a rifle leaning against a tree 200 yards in the jungle and to get the jump on Ilana and not to hesitate, because she won't.

Ben makes eye contact with Ilana, then makes a break for it.

So how much of what Locke said is the truth? Does he hope that Ben will kill Ilana? Does he really want Ben to be in charge of the island? It seems that Locke is telling each person he's manipulating exactly what they want to hear, in Ben's case, it's that someone thinks that he's of value and capable of bigger things.

Miles reveals Jacob hoped he was wrong about Ben, knows about Nikki & Paulo

At the beach camp graveyard, Miles comes to visit Ben who is digging very slowly and in small amounts. Miles offers him some food, but Ben offers him the $3.2 million he asked for in season 4. Ben says that he can get off of the island and has a large network of people who could get the money if he'll just free him. Miles says that he doesn't need the money because Nikki and Paulo are buried in the graveyard with $8 million worth of diamonds.

Ben then protests on a moral level, asking if he's going to stand by and let him be murdered for killing Jacob who didn't care if he was killed. Miles then reveals that Jacob did care. Miles says that up until the knife went through Jacob's heart, he hoped that he had ben wrong about Ben.

So it seems that Jacob expected Ben to kill him, but was holding onto a glimmer of hope that he wouldn't. Instead of trying to stop Ben, it seems that Jacob allowed him to make his own decision.

Locke's body is buried at the island graveyard by Ben, Ilana, Frank & Sun

Back with the statue gang, Ilana and Ben are carrying Locke's body across the island towards the graveyard where other 815 survivors are buried. Ilana tells Ben that the smoke monster is nowstuck in the form of John Lock and can no longer change.

Once they reach the graveyard, Ben and Frank dig the grave and all four of them lower Locke's body into it. Ben gives a brief eulogy, saying that Locke was a better man than he'll ever be and he's sorry that he killed him. The sadness in his voice and on his face is very honest. This also gives Frank an opening for a great one liner "Weirdest damn funeral I've ever been to."

So why is the smoke monster now stuck in the form of Locke? Did Jacob's death affect his abilities?
