The freighter is heavily armed
The freighter crew is heavily armed (at least some of them are). Are they coming to kill everyone on the island? Are they coming to wage war on Ben and the natives? Are they who shot Karl and Rousseau? Time will tell.

What's the tattoo on Keamy's shoulder?
There's a lot of speculation about the tattoos. Some think that they have Native American roots, while others just think they're there to symbolize that these guys aren't just random crew on a freighter, but mercenaries.
