Ben stages the room as a suicide

Back in Locke's room at the Westerfield Hotel, Ben has somehow hung Locke from the pipes in the ceiling, just how Locke was originally planning to kill himself. Ben cleans and wipes down the room including the wheelchair and cord among other things. As Ben's about to leave, he picks up Jin's wedding ring from the side table where Locke's Canadian passport is sitting. As he's standing in the doorway looking up a Locke, Ben says in fraile voice "I'll miss you John, I really will." After he leaves is when we get our first complete look at Locke's body hanging from the ceiling which is a sad and grim sight.

The remorse in Ben's voice as he leaves is intriguing and his words leave us to believe he didn't know that Locke would be resurrected when he returned to the island.

Thailand graves, 777 purchase order, Kevin's passport

Here's the proof of Widmore's involvement in the Flight 815 hoax that Tom shows Michael in order to convince him to help Ben.
  • the photo of the exhumed graves in Thailand where the 300+ bodies came from
  • the purchase order for the 777 airplane that was placed in the ocean as Flight 815
    • the plane was decomissioned
    • it was purchased by Widmore Industries
    • it cost 450,000 (not sure what currency)
    • it was shipped via freighter
  • the passport Michael uses to join the freighter crew as Kevin Johnson.

Ben's (or should I say Dean Moriarty's) passports and money

Sayid finds a lot of foreign currency and a number of passports in Ben's secret room.

The currency that stands out is an English 20 pound note that has Michael Faraday on it (an English chemist and physicist who contributed to the fields of electromagnetism and electrochemistry). This particular bill is no longer in circulation. It was used between 1991 and 2001.

The passports include ones from Brazil, New Zealand, Japan and Switzerland. In Switzerland, Ben goes by the name Dean Moriarty (a character from the Jack Kerouac novel On the Road).
