Miles' ability is tested by Naomi, he agrees to go to the island

In a flashback, we pick up right around where we left of with Miles and Naomi. She takes him to a restaurant kitchen where there is a body in a body bag on a table. Miles objects saying that whatever is going on isn't really his thing. Naomi tosses him a bundle of cash and says that she heard if the price is right, this is exactly his thing. She asks him to tell her about the man on the table.

Miles closes his eyes and his head starts jerking back and forth accompanied by wooshing sounds. Miles says that the man's name is Felix and that he was on his way to deliver photos of empty graves and a purchase order for an old airplane to Widmore. Mile asks if he passed and Naomi proposes that Miles join her on an expedition to the island. She says that they'll be looking for a man (Ben) on the island. She continues saying "This island has a number of deceased individuals residing on it" who are dead because of Ben and who might be able to help Naomi and her team find him. Miles says that he's going to pass because it doesn't sound safe and starts to walk away. Naomi says that her employer is willing to pay him 1.6 million dollars. Miles stops in his tracks, turns around and says "When do we leave?"

So did Tom (aka Mr. Friendly) kill Felix and take his documents which is how he had them in "Meet Kevin Johnson" in season 4? Also, does this finally prove that Charles Widmore was responsible for the fake Oceanic 815 plane and the bodies inside?

What is Miles' obsession with money? We haven't seen any reasoning yet for why he wants money so badly. Is it possible his mother is still alive and needs the money for her medical expenses?

And one more thing. What was Felix's role in Widmore's organiztion? Will we see him alive at some point?

Miles pretends to talk to a dead boy, Naomi approaches Miles for recruitment

In a flashback, Miles is looking at a photo of a young guy in a football uniform named Russell Gray. Miles is still at a picnic table with his father, Howard Gray and asks him what happened to Russell. Howard tells him that his son was killed last Labor Day weekend by a drunk driver who ran a light. Miles asks where he's buried and Howard says that he was cremated and his ashes were scattered over the football field. Miles' eyes dart back a forth when he mentions cremation and he says that what he does is much better with a body. Teary-eyed, Howard tells Miles that he wants to know if his son knew that he loved him. Miles tells him that it will cost extra and Howard gives him a wad of bills. Miles takes Howard by the hands and tells him to concentrate of Russell. Miles looks down and moves his head a bit before he tells Howard that his son knew that he loved him and that he always knew. Howard thanks Miles with tears in his eyes and Miles takes his case and leaves.

As Miles is putting his case in his trunk in front of the house, he is approached by Naomi Dorritt. Naomi tells Miles that her employer has been following Miles' work for some time and is interested in retaining his unique services. She invites Miles to a restaurant close by to hear what she has to say. Miles quickly agrees and is obviously a bit taken by Naomi.

So it was pretty obvious in this scene that Miles pretended to talk to Russell. It seems without a body, he can't speak to the dead. If that's the case though, why was he able to find the money and drugs in the house back in the episode "Confirmed Dead" in season 4? Presumably the body was not in the house. It's a bit weird.

The freighter loads up at Port of Suva

Michael/Kevin goes to Port of Suva, Fiji to join the freighter crew as a deckhand. We see a few dead characters including Minkowski and Naomi. He recognizes that Naomi is from Manchester, most likely due to Charlie's accent. Michael also runs into Miles who informs him that he knows his name isn't Kevin.

Naomi meets Matthew Abbadon in a mysterious office space to learn about her team for the mission.
