The others start their journey to Jacob, Locke wants to kill him/it

With the sun rising, the others set off on their journey towards Jacob. Ben tells Locke that Richard is concerned about their pilgrimage to Jacob and is wondering if Locke knows what he's doing. Locke thanks Ben for bringing this to his attention. Ben tells Locke that he is there to follow him now so if he needs Jacob to help reunite his people, "then I'll do whatever." Lock cuts him off and says that he's not interesting in being reunited with his people. Locke says he knows what he told Sun but that's not why they're going to Jacob. Ben asks why are they going to Jacob and Locke says "So I can kill him." Ben stops dead in his tracks and looks utterly shocked.

So many questions here. Where exactly are they going to find Jacob? Is he/it generally in one place? And the big question is, why does Locke want to kill Jacob and can he kill Jacob? This brings the question back about what force is currently driving Locke? Is the smoke monster who told Ben to follow Locke not on Jacob's side? I guess we'll get at some idea of all of this in the season finale.

Eloise, Richard, Jack and Sayid reach Jughead in the tunnels

As they're making their way through the final tunnels before reaching Jughead, Sayid tells Jack that Eloise's motivation for detonating the bomb is likely that she just wants to annihilate the Dharma Initiative. Jack says he trusts her because 30 years from now she's who will help them get back to the island.

They reach a large room where Eloise uncovers Jughead. They all just stare at it for a moment and we can see the leak that Daniel pointed out previously is still there. Eloise breaks the silence by saying "Well... now what?"

What was this underground chamber's purpose when it was constructed? Presumably it wasn't always there so they could store a bomb in it. How exactly will they get the giant bomb out of there and how did the others get it in there?

Kate is caught and put on the submarine, Sawyer and Juliet clearly uncomfortable

Back at the submarine, more Dharma folk are loaded in for the evacuation. Inside, Juliet asks Sawyer what they're going to do when they get back to Ann Arbor. Sawyer says that the Dharma Initiative have no authority in the real world so when they dock, they are free. Juliet says "Real world. I don't even know what that means anymore." Sawyer takes her hand and says "Whatever happens, I got your back, remember?" Juliet says "I love you" and Sawyer replies "I love you back."

Phil says not to close the hatch because "Horace wants her off the island too. We'll let Ann Arbor deal with them." He says that she was caught coming back into town. Kate then comes down the ladder and is cuffed next to Sawyer and Juliet who are very uncomfortable with her being there.

The crew prepares to leave and the lights turn red as the submarine goes under water as it heads away from the island.

I'm generally not one to criticize little things and I'm sure the budget is tight right now, but that submarine diving looked incredibly fake. Oh well, it was a short shot.

Tension is high among the trio on the sub, and it's likely going to peak in the season finale. Juliet clearly does not like Kate being anywhere near Sawyer so that would be an uncomforable submarine trip.
